On September 16, 2014, the America China Society of Indiana will host its Annual Gala at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. The Mid-Autumn Festival-themed event will feature a cocktail hour, silent auction, dinner service and evening performances by the Indianapolis Chinese Community Center, Inc. (ICCCI).
Chinese Consul General Mr. Zhao Weiping will be the Keynote Speaker of our 2014 Annual Gala. Mr. Zhao serves as the
primary representative from the People’s Republic of China to the Midwest in Chicago. Abreast of trends in Chinese trade
and commerce, Mr. Zhao’s presentation will be the highlight of our event.

ACSI will be co-hosting a both at the Asian America Alliance, Inc.’s upcoming Asian Fest on June 7 from 11am-4pm. The event will be held on the grounds of the Indiana State Museum/White River State Park. This free, family friendly event brings the sights, sounds, and tastes of all the different cultures of Asia in one festival market place. It is truly a showcase of what makes Central Indiana an ethnically vibrant and interesting place to live. As the featured country of this year’s Asian Fest is China, ACSI is excited to participate in this event and to incorporate new volunteers that day. More information about the event can be found at 
Beginning in May of 2014 the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis will be opening two exhibits on China. The first exhibit, running from May 10 – Nov. 2, is a historical journey to China’s first emperor and the terra cotta warriors. The second exhibit, “Take me There: China,” also begins May 10 and explores modern day China while learning about culture and ancient traditions. The museum expects to have more than 100 artifacts in this exhibit, including real Terra Cotta Warriors, some never before seen by the public.
