ACSI will be co-hosting a both at the Asian America Alliance, Inc.’s upcoming Asian Fest on June 7 from 11am-4pm. The event will be held on the grounds of the Indiana State Museum/White River State Park. This free, family friendly event brings the sights, sounds, and tastes of all the different cultures of Asia in one festival market place. It is truly a showcase of what makes Central Indiana an ethnically vibrant and interesting place to live. As the featured country of this year’s Asian Fest is China, ACSI is excited to participate in this event and to incorporate new volunteers that day. Beginning in May of 2014 the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis will be opening two exhibits on China. The first exhibit, running from May 10 – Nov. 2, is a historical journey to China’s first emperor and the terra cotta warriors. The second exhibit, “Take me There: China,” also begins May 10 and explores modern day China while learning about culture and ancient traditions. The museum expects to have more than 100 artifacts in this exhibit, including real Terra Cotta Warriors, some never before seen by the public.

On Friday, May 9th, the America China Society of Indiana will be co-hosting a reception for Dr. Bing Xiang, Dean of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) at the JW Marriott. Known as the “Harvard of China”, CKGSB is China’s only private educational institution and provides executive-level training at its campuses in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. CKGSB’s alumni include more than 2,500 C-Level business leaders whose companies together generated more than $1 trillion USD in 2011.

STOPfakes.gov is bringing U.S. government tools and assistance “offline” to small and medium sized businesses across America. Trade experts and attorneys from the Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA) and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) are traveling across the country to host one-day seminars on how companies and individuals can protect and enforce intellectual property to get the most out of exporting abroad.
This year, the STOPfakes.gov Road Show is making a stop in Indiana to answer your questions about commercializing your creations and innovations.
